I understand that programmes for the big events can be printed in advance and that some information can be out of date come Friday afternoon due to late additions, withdrawals, groups and sometimes even classes changing. But I was really disappointed in the programme that I purchased for the Teams Nationals yesterday that was riddled with errors.
I'm fine with a few team lineup errors as these can change last minute (two or three days out) - as they did with the Allstars. The commentary team did a good job going through all the cars and drivers during the grand parade and corrected everything up, but some of the other errors I spotted in the programme bordered on embarrassing and I'm wondering did anyone actually proof read the thing?
A lot of it was only small things like a bunch of drivers from the previous meeting not having capital letters for their names or the Saturday night race schedule having two Event 7s and no Event 2. Then there's further errors that really make me question if it was proof read such as the semi final "loosers" on the second page of the event preview - loseloose.com/
We then get onto the team lineups that were just horribly out of date:
The only lineup I hadn't heard any changes for were the Tigers, so I'll let that one slide.
Were these team lineups (that you'd hope were also passed on to WP) too late for the programme to be changed? The draw was posted Monday morning (2nd March) and that was all correctly listed, so you'd expect any team lineups announced before then to be correct too.
Also, don't get me started on the programme featuring Kerry Remnant as 11m in last season's Busters colours instead of his standard blue 19m body or even his blue 19m Brawlers body.
And finally, there's the competitors list... And this is all that I've found wrong myself. At least there's no "Bruce Marx" in this one.

- Hawkes Bay announced their team on Facebook on the 16th of February with replacements for Adam Groome and Murray Long. I remember hearing at Palmy teams that Murray Long was also retiring from teams racing that weekend so was never going to be racing this weekend.
- Gavin Taniwha also was never going to be in the Auckland team this weekend and a lineup was up on Facebook on Monday night (2nd March). Yes, their lineup changed again from that lineup throughout the week, but Gavin was never in the team this time around.
- I don't know how an injured Simon Joblin found his way into the Palmerston North Panthers over Andy McCabe.
- The Manawatu Mustangs were announced on Facebook on the 26th of February (471p Benji Sneddon), with a change a day later (62p Adam Joblin), but Alec Wilson was still listed in the programme.
- The Scrappers were also announced on the 26th of February featuring the two Rees' yet the same lineup that attended Palmerston North was used.
