Horrendous luck for Hampel, probably season ending, with reported double leg fracture. Was nasty. Seems they are keeping with the "young guns" theme for the Race-off, bringing in Buczkowski ( forgive spelling). As you say....go Poland.

Have to feel for Poland, unable to replace Hampel unless they got 6 points behind & there looked to be tactics involved to make sure that didn't happen

As a Swedish supporter I was pleased to see them through to the finals, but as you say have to feel for Poland. The Pole's rode so well to be as close as they were after being unable to score on every fourth race. Russia when better than I expected with the line-up they had.

With 3 of the 4 riders never having ridden at Vojens track before I think Poland will be hard pressed to be the top qualifier from the race off. Britain to go through from tonights meeting is my pick.

Wasn't too surprising to see Poland win the race-off. the finals could be really close. Go the Swede's.

Some of the comments made have been really interesting with Billy Hamill saying USA were on the rise. I must have been watching another meeting. But most of all Tai Woffinden saying he had basically issued the UK speedway with an ultimatum on what to do or he was gone.

Hamill's kidding himself. American team should be called Hamill's academy team. After Hancock, the best performed Yank in Europe this year has been Ricky Wells. Back home they have Billy Janneiro, who consistenly runs rings around the lot of them, small track. big track..whatever, and don't get picked. Mind you, i think him and Hamill have "history". Tai,s comments are pretty spot on for me. BSPA has almost destroyed the sport in Britain, compared to what it once was. As for the Final in the morning...what a field. Personally a Polish fan, but the Danes at home would start favourites I'm guessing, Aussies no mugs either, same with Sweden, Lingren back in, and Linback been hot in the leagues. I'll go (reluctantly), Denmark, Poland, Aus, Sweden. hope it's a cracker. Only negatives on the deal for me are the stupid Joker rules, and the 4-rider-no replacements thing.

It seems to be all political in all the teams. Like where is Hans Neilsen for Denmark, Thomas H Jonnason for Sweeden, Krystof Kasprascak for Poland and Darcy Ward for Australia. And before anyone says Darcy is suspended, hes actually back and done 2 league meetings. However until there is a NZ team, i'll have to pick my birth country of Poland with some Magic to win, from Denmark, Aussie and Sweden last.

Hans Neilsen's long been retired, guess your meaning Hans Andersen. No room for him this year, THJ still hobbling around on crutches with damaged knee ligaments, Krystof K so far out of form even Gorzow was gonna drop him from the squad last week. Sure about Darcy? still has a week or so suspension to go, and is only getting his equipment together now...literally right now. Dang the weather...tommorrow hopefully.

That was an insane meeting. Best race was when Pawlicki got wiped out twice in the same corner by the Dane and Swede, then beat Chris Holder in the 2 man race. Had me laughing so hard I got yelled at by my wife at 2am for waking the kids up. Denmark and Iversen must be gutted.

That was one of the most stunning speedway meetings in ANY class I have ever watched. 20 races and not a dud, and the result in doubt until the death. Outside of the Palmy Teams Champs and some Super Saloon racing, as much controversy and contact as you'd ever see, but most of the time the riders were skillful enough to keep it upright. Amazing stuff.
