With a lot of movement this year in the superstock ranks how many teams will be at PN this season? Panthers Mustangs Hawkeyes Tigers Rebels Baypark Allstars Wanderers Gisborne Great Britain Wellington Stratford Wanganui Christchurch
All we need is 2 more teams for a 16 draw and that will be mouth watering...... that god we have our tickets..... bring it on!!!!!

not sure Baypark Auckland and Waikato would all be able to field teams, good if they could thou. Be interesting to see if there needs to be one team dropped to make the format work, would it be the club that hasn't provided a team for many years but now suddenly can! We all know just because you have the numbers doesn't mean the promotion wants you, just ask 2k's.

Both Auckland and Waikato have numbers in the Superstock ranks this coming season.. Cant see any reason why they wont be there....

Rotorua rebels have 15 cars available for selection on face book site it is likely another team will be formed to accomodate all drivers good times

Huntly's first priority would be to grow the class instead of putting a team together, although the ranks appear to be growing(slowly) I know Waikato fans have been hurting the last few years without a team to cheer for at the event. But, just because the numbers are on the up doesn't automatically guarantee a team will be there. In addition, even if there were enough cars to field a Waikato team you still would need drivers to commit to the event meaning time off work, additional $$$ for spares/damage, accommodation etc....the essentials to go Teams Racing. Just some food for thought.

teams is a whole other sport within the sport. its not everyones brand of vodka. you can have a registered driver list of 40 but if no one is wanting to teams race you have no team. I seem to remember rotorua were in this boat not to many years ago lots of drivers not many teams racers. Big numbers dont make teams, willing drivers make teams.

Tickets have already gone on sale for 2016 teams champs so I don't see promotions paying out for four additional teams to enter just to see a 16 team format. Ticket prices would need to increase again before I see that happening.

You might want to read Facebook site of there's Charlie already States there's a high possibility of two teams just cause it didn't work out one year doesn't really translate into failure the next looking at the positives 15 cars available for selection is huge and I'm keen to dream big

The only teams with ? marks is Baypark & Huntly ...... however I'm sure if Kerry wants to be involved he will get a team together for BP and Tony W 71H is the Superstock rep at Huntly, Tony will be wanting to put a team together and lets hope with a number of cars purchased they are interested in Teams!!

I think people have to realize evan though some tracks have good numbers in SuperStocks & StockCars there is only a select few that actually put there name down to Teams Race

and just because their name is on the list doesnt mean they will do it. alot of drivers are keen in september but come crunch time when they call comes out managers can hear plenty of excuses. no money no time off no spares.

The Rebels have been a major threat at Palmy and Auckland over the years , unfortunately through mostly bad luck the tempo has dropped off in recent times. No disrespect to any of the past Rebels drivers , they have put in a great effort and commitment . Hoping for a strong showing this season .

I think time constraints wouldn't allow 16 teams. Plus it's February and that's a long way into the season

Sorry Charlie disagree the reason panthers are so strong is because of the depth they have through two committed teams you can't beat experience and you won't get that experience sitting in the pits for sure develop our strongest team but also utilise these next guys in some way if we have so many interested let's not shunt them out the way even states on there Facebook last few years we have been struggling to attract numbers when the times are good (like now) lets back all these drivers cause when it falls away well look at our no show at team nats in Auckland last year it doesn't look good

Re the Panthers .. Yes they do have depth but in my opinion they are a couple of notches ahead of everyone else when it comes to teams racing as well as individual racing . Their consistant showing at championships speaks for itself . Palmy has set the benchmark in the Superstock and Stockcar classes for many years. To lose drivers the calibre of the Rees and still be on top is something most other teams couldn't do.
