Good news for stockcar racers and fans in the lower North Island. Thanks to Mike Mooney at Elite Mechanical and Engineering (brother of Dion), Oceanview Speedway will be hosting the Elite Mechanical Stockcar Cash Challenge over four meetings this season. Drivers will compete for a total prize pool of $5,000 in the series which will be run at the following meetings: - Sunday 29th November at 3pm
- Sunday 13th December at 3pm
- Saturday 5th March at 7pm
- Saturday 30th April at 7pm
Drivers will have to compete in the four meetings to be eligible for the cash which will be $2300 to the winner, $1300 to second and $900 for third. In addition, the best stirrer over the four meetings will receive $500. The first two meetings are before the North Island Stockcars at Wanganui on 18/19 December, so there's also the chance for competitors to get some practice at the Oval by the Ocean. Check out the Oceanview Speedway website for more information.

Sounds like a pretty good little challenge, Inventory. Hope we will get a list of drivers involved. Might have to make the trip from Hawkes bay for a look
