but with two allstars affiliated with other teams for the weekend, how deep is their superstock class when we're two weeks out from the event and their season hasn't long gotten underway? It doesnt matter how deep, it comes down to who will teams race

Some may need reminding of the importance of having an Auckland team given the Promoter and where the other big Superstock Teams weekend is held. However it is somewhat perplexing that a die-hard Aucklander has aligned with the Glen Eagles. Maybe a split in the ranks or something. No matter what the outcome, I will be in Palmy come Waitangi weekend helping out the new Panthers' Captain. Who would have expected any drama or controuvesy so close to teams. Personally I would be pleased to see the Giants in but I'm not going to throw my toys if they are not.

No split in the ranks in Auckland so that should help the guessing game

Yeah more tongue in cheek with that one, just pushing the roller coaster along a bit faster, waiting for the train wreck that some people think is coming. Isn't it fun though.

i suspect they would be close to naming a team other wise they would have given up on it a while ago........maybe it might be something surprising? we could also have been sucked into a p.r stunt by both camps!

Is this showing Bruce Robertsons arrogance to a tee ..We have had a team sitting there ready for weeks and he seems to be playing a mind game .Gisborne should be in and those doing the p..sing around should be the ones to miss out if they cant commit a team in time.. Next excuse ? The Allstars cant put a team together so we will wait and see if Huntly can , failing that we will try and see if KihiKihi can muster up a team. Instead of being straight up and say [ We don't really want the Giants there if we can avoid it ,just in case they whip our Panthers asses ..lol ] And I rekon that would be a lot closer to the truth..

I do wonder if this may be the last year I go to Teams champs because of this issue to be honest. Maybe the travel funts can go towards the 240s for something different. Its no longer about are they in or out? Its now about the shifting goal posts and the amout of time this is taking.
I know people say that this is a sell out year after year but look what happened to the 7's in Wellington. Maybe its time for the consumers to bite back. Even a mere 500 Rees fans and thats a pretty low estimate at $100 for the weekend (and really its more) is a $50 000 hit to the organiser.
Maybe its time to organise a 2017 boycott?

I'm with you on that one never went last year but wished I did , but definitely not going this year . As you say its getting pathetic and just one big money grab.. Cheaper to wait for the feedback and buy the dvd later ..lol
