If you're willing to pay for a livestream to fill your Friday night in, I can paint a wall quickly, set up a camera and stream it to you for you to watch dry if you like. Just don't complain about the lack of action or if it buffers etc. Be like watching ministocks all night.

It's a very simple question about Rotorua activating their speedway live link (or not) Nothing to do with a livestream service or anything in your response for that matter

We did have Speedway Live turned on last night so I'd imagine that we would have it on again tonight.

I know a couple that had to have things put right before competing. Bumper patched, had to have the patch removed as was classed as reinforced bumper, the other was bumper height, shock tower lowered to bring bumper up to height.

Sounds like a lot of Iconsistacy by SNZ through out. If some wernt aloud to race how can you have others aloud whilst have same faults with cars[bumpers etc].Same dramas between interpretation of rules.

SNZ Tech Stewards did a fantastic job making sure every car was scrutineered the same. I think about 6 of the 170 plus cars didnt make it through but nearly all the cars had minor things to remedy before they were allowed to race. There were 4 engines checked with 3 being illegal. There are also a few that have been sealed for checking another day. There were cars sent off the dummy grid in the first 2 races for low bumper heights and then no further issues.
I for one was very impressed with SNZs professionalism and that doesn't happen easily.

Thats a disgrace that 3 of the 4 engines checked were illegal what sort of punishement would be handed out for that sort of cheating.

Thanks for the update sonja.
Good to hear some positive action, and consistency applied.
Very interesting to hear 3 out of 4 engines checked were ill eagle. I hope the top 5 were sealed for checking At a later date.
You'd think win that hit rate there might be more lining up to pay the engine checking fee, but I guess if cheating is that rife (75%) then lost are in there same boat?
Thanks again for he update

Yea i tell ya it was a very long day on friday as it was nearly 7 hrs of scrutineering. Our car was there very low budget & we flew thro scrutineering no issues at all both days but it seamed like a few of the real flash superstock looking cars had problems which just makes ya wonder & i think i saw 1 car go thro 4 times b4 it was finally ok. Yea some of the 1s that got the 22 day stand down wher out of ther control but i supose rules are rules but also to punish the kids when its proberly not ther more likely the parents fault seams abit harsh but other than that a wicked 2 days meet sum orsum people & that speedway help from whoever if you need it goes along way as we had sumthing bend didnt have another but 2 cars offered there spares & just said get car fixed so the boy can carry on so a bigs thanks to them

Engine builders should be named and shamed! Unless their "untouchable" of course! Pfft. No wonder there are crazy prices being asked for them these days.

But is it all the engine builder cause if he knows the SNZ rules he shldnt do it, so sum1 is telling him wat to do & i cant see it bein the kids so thers only 1 otha but stil the kids get punished

18th Season as Meeanee Track Announcer In a Senior class the buck usually stops with the competitor but as said above when it comes down to Adults/Parents being responsible for the car prep etc then the Kids shouldn't be punished with stand down periods should they?. Any Car found to be illegal before or after an event must still be disqualified from the results just like any senior grade. I don't agree that banning Kids for any length of time is healthy for the growth of our Sport unless it is for serious misconduct. Is there anyway Engine builders can be held more accountable by signing an SNZ form stating the motor has been built within rule specs and also have the SNZ seal on the engine. This is a way to keep tabs on who is doing what and if the same builders keep appearing on the radar then SNZ could add them to a list of banned tuners?. I'm sure there are holes in my theory that Macgorians will find. It is a thorny problem for sure but needs stamping out NOW as it seems to me that Ministock numbers have dwindled somewhat the last 5 years as the cost of running up front has rocketed,

I think as far as engines go a 12 month ban should be handed out it happens in other classes. Now i know everyone says thats not far on the kid well maybe the adults behind the scene will then think we only race this class for five years do i risk losing 12 months?Any other sport your kid plays if they are caught cheating there are consequences so there should be in this sport to.Until someone or somepeople are made an example of nothing will change.

What checks are there on the cars after the stand down has been served, does the competitor have to prove the motor is now legal or do they just turn up & hope to get away with it as they have previously?
