Darn it another one of my favorites gone and the news that Phil Joyce passed away this morning is saddening. Phil was NZ Stockcar champion back in the 1971/72 season Phil and his 1a stockcar were a very popular combination at Waikaraka Park, a truly class act both in performance and appearance. Condolences to Family and friends. (photo posted by the late Pallmall ) screen shots

The Historic Stock Car Club of NZ send all its condolences to the family and friends of Phil. Phil was always keen to attend our reunions and had a drive in one of the old cars at one reunion. His on track performances speak for themselves and Phil became NZ1 in 1971/72. Phil had been unwell for a whlie but was always willing to speak on the phone.RIP.

Phil Joyce I remember as a child back in the 70s was a very good driver. I remember the great racing he had with Sam and all the other great drivers of that time and Phil was definitely in to top class of that time. It is very sad news to me once I seen this news on this site and Although it's late in saying, I pass on my deepest sympathies to him family and friends. R.I.P Phil Joyce and thank you for all the great memories.
