I have to say though - if the person who posted originally is complaining about the G team having Tom in - why aren't they getting up in arms about Dion Mooney being in the Tigers? Or Canterbury nabbing Ron Tye? Neither of these men (and darn teams racing nutbars) are locals for who they're representing, and we know that both Nelson and Canterbury are more than capable of running superstock classes (yes I know that various Nelsonians have withdrawn so don't use that as a reason to bag me out hahaha) but yet these two men are non-local and no one bats an eye. It's all the same thing - but somehow it's only the Gisborne team being called out... if you're going to do it to one team you might as well do it to all. My guess is that the difference is Nelson and Canterbury had no other local ready, willing or able to front for the Tigers and the Eagles. If so, then Adam, Scott, Dion, Ron etc wouldn't have been required. The suggestion is that 9G WAS keen and had his hand up, but was overlooked for an outside driver.

Which is fine - but unless someone can verify this instead of it remaining speculation, why complain about it?

]Which is fine - but unless someone can verify this instead of it remaining speculation, why complain about it? If the 9G in question is the tank that was at WP last night then it was hardly capable of making the formation lap, let alone a difference to the outcome of the race.

Well there we go - there's something that might have weighed in favour of Tom being brought in All I was saying was that there's bound to be a reason, and until/if it's publicised then no one should be complaining, because at least we're all in for one thing - an epic weekend!

Yes no offence but I've seen Anthony teams race & it's not his thing.

You sound like a Rees lover panther fan. Think it's time you changed your user name. Of course I was meaning choosing a ring in over a willing local car good or not you have to learn some how. The other tracks using ring ins are short of cars to are calling on them. There's a difference.

Here we go a comment from somone with a user name of a non contact class. Have you owned a new car and struggled with teething issues? Have you put your hand up for teams racing and been fully committed weather your good or not and come from Aussie as much as you can to try your hardest?

The 9g car hasnt really done much racing and neither has the driver for quite some time . We all know that if it wasnt for the Rees Family there would be no Gisborne Team , we also know that they dont have many superstocks registered to G either .So whats the big fuss about them bring in a ring in , dont hears you all whinging about the others laden with ringins. I think this is more of an Anti Rees thread..

Chill out - no need to get personal ... whether I'm a Rees' fan is irrelevant... im just saying that you chose to go off at Gisborne for something that clubs have been doing for yonks and not just in Supers either - its happened repeatedly in stockies too. Chill the **** out. It is the management's choice - not much you can do about it. Just deal with it and enjoy the weekend. Yeesh.

Anthony Brown has posted on Facebook that he didn't want to teams race as the car has teething problems. He will be there though supporting the team so really a completely pointless thread.

You must,nt read much or listen for that matter mate . Kinda explains it that A Brown didnt want to race . Plenty of other teams are in the same situation [ ie Nelson ] and have added ring ins , so why is it only Gisborne that are so wrong.

Read yourself I said it's different as g had a g car wanting to do it. N and c had no cars wanting to so used others. I also said at the time of making this thread 9g hadnt said a word of not wanting to do it or say anything about a faulty car.

You also stated Anthony "Was more then available for teams", when it appears that was purely guesswork on your part (based on him not saying he didn't want to) not fact as you've led readers to believe with more than one statement in this thread. It's something confirmed since by 9g himself, with his unavailability. Barry B

Il give it a rest for the fact I don't want to be removed from the board not that in admitting in wrong. I still don't understand how people think he's unavailable when he said he wasn't chosen because of his car. Suppose I read it like he wrote it not how it's mis interpreted. From his page itself. "Last night we took the Super and Ministock to Auckland to give them a run. Dylan went very well, and loved every minute of it. Unfortunately with having a new car you always go through teething issues and we are having this with the new 9G, with timing being out, fuel pumps and torque arms breaking, an living/working in Perth makes it being hard to get track time, but a huge thanks to Ross & Hokey Ashby and Blair and Dylan Ashton for their help last night to get the car set up. So with not having much track time in the new car and having problems it was in the Giants best interests that I wasn't in the team this season, I would have loved to race in teams but I am a true gissy boy who would like to see them reach to the top, I'll be there to support and help them this weekend. Can't thank everyone enough for their help, Cheers Ants.".
