Taking a look at each group who do you think could cause upsets to add twists on who will and wont qualify top 4 or top 8?
Group A Wellington Wildcats = beats Panthers Palmerston North Panthers Nelson Tigers
Group B Gisborne Giants Rotorua Rebels = beat Giants Baypark Busters Group C Great Britain Lions Canterbury Glen Eagles = beats Scrappers Stratford Scrappers = beat GB
Group D Hawke's Bay Hawkeyes = don't qualify Allstars have more points Manawatu Mustangs = beat Hawkeyes Auckland Allstars = beat Hawkeyes

Upsets are a realm of possibilities - while they may seem unlikely, they are what makes the teams champs the event that it is!

Agree completely Ricky. As we've seen over and over again since 1981, the only thing certain about Teams Champs is that there are no certainties. On the track, that is; you can be certain that someone will argue that the draw was rigged and that the officials were biased towards Palmerston North, and Bruce Robertson's bank manager will be smiling on Tuesday morning

Thanks inventory..( ( and Marty)....But just to come back to 888hsv selections of upsets ..... I would put a dollar ( opps no betting comments allowed on this site )on a couple of those picks. However I don't see mustangs beating Hawkeyes an upset.... even though they are defending the title , sorry hawkeye fans..... that's going to be one hell of a race. So who else is brave enough to put forward some "outsider" picks......

If an underdog team is going to make a run this year I think the Baypark Busters might just be the team.
They've flown under the radar. Nobody is talking about them. Yes they have perhaps the toughest group but I can see each team potentially winning once in that group which opens it up.
Carl Hodge - Top quality teams racer known for his spectacular hitting. Other teams won't be able to isolate him as they could with the All-Stars.
Kerry Remnant - Massively experienced teams racer who has seen it all. Reads a race well and knows how to slow the opposition whilst also keeping his own car running.
Ryan Hunt - Limited running in the Superstock but a star in the Stockcar class. Not a lot of teams racing experience, could be anything.
Bruce Williams - Hardened veteran who always gives an honest account of himself.
Mark Costello - One of the revelations of the season. Now regularly at the pointy end of the field at all the big Superstock events.
