Very sad to hear that Carl Drever passed away this morning after a long battle with cancer. Carls involment with speedway includes being a speedway nz official, and in later years a car owner along with son Aaron, some very notable drivers running for Drever motorsports included Tracy Hines and Rico Abreu, a highlight for Carl was when their car won this seasons 50 lap classic at the springs. Rest in peace buddy you will be remembered .

Yep,I was at that race sitting in town bend,the cool days of western springs, good memories . Rip Carl.

I remember one race similar nature. with Graham Standring getting excluded from particular feature when was carl was referee. standring actually lodged protest, through SNZ and had the result over turned.
