Great sadness to hear the loss of Darcy! Much aroha to Mo, Tiana and Rico, Darcy Snr, Karen and the wider whanau. Fond memories include watching Darcy win the 1 NZ at Waikaraka Park, fun fundraising options to help send him to Dunedin for the NZ's the following year, scrapping mud off the 337 R, training together and completing the Rotorua marathon in 2007. Thanks big guy for the good times! From Tiaki (Tiroto), Maree, Anna and Joel.

An incredibly sad day for the speedway community.
At his peak Darcy was a genuine elite level Superstock driver. He was one of few self-made national champions courtesy of his unassisted win at Waikaraka Park where he spun none other than Shane Penn in the third heat to take the title.
I'm glad I had the opportunity to build and run a website for him for a short period of time.
Condolences to family and friends.
