A quick word about some of the better individual performances.
On the night I felt the individuals who stood out were largely in the lesser teams. Number 1 for me was 118r Bryce Steiner. Surrounded by a team of very limited teams experience Steiner admirably led the rebels. No blocker was able to substantially block the progress of Steiner and if that wasn't enough he was able to make some meaningful hits on 45g Nick Vallance and of course the roll on 3nz Jordan Dare. Steiner was simply outstanding an almost put the Rebels in the semi-finals.
Not far behind was 63a Bryce Marx. The experienced guys really came to the fore on the night. Not only was Marx accurate with the bumpers but he scored points in both races. Given the format and the way things went those points were crucial. His drive in the Mustangs race put Auckland into the semi-finals. The perfect mix of blocking and point scoring.

Agree with both of those drivers, Steiny and Marx both excelled. Bryce Marx in particular the forgotten man of teams racing, just does the job every race almost always the last Allstar running. As for the 118r, that car was unstoppable, driving like a young buck!!

Agree up to the point of the roll. That was luck, on being let go from the front of 58P Right time, right place, right angle.

to get all those things right then it was great bit of skill by Steiner to roll the Panther.

I wouldnt exactly say that Gary Hunter has limited experience and possibly one of the better teams racers in Rotorua . Darcy Meurant may be new to Superstock teams but done more than his share of teams racing to date , so certainly no greenhorn. A bit of research on drivers history may help.

A bit of research on drivers history may help. from memory Gary hasn't teams raced for a number of years and back then only limited appearances. Darcy just getting started in Superstocks. Not sure if Russell or Barry jnr have teams raced although they may have done several years ago. Limited experience would be accurate.

Each to their own opinion. Watching the videos of lastnites racing neither Gary or Barry Jnr looked like learners. The team had quite a strong look about it when in action.
