The politics for some in side council will be no different than it is for most items on the agenda If by chance it didnt get the vote to move forward ,its back to the drawing board ,the Springs would remain open for further discussion on who was to occupy the stadium as the heads of cricket havent come forward with any large scale proposals yet .. There is alot of speculation ,News reports by Stuff ,the list go on ,but i guess the main figure in all this just may keep his money in his back pocket and all of us speedway people will not benefit from it all ...

you mean the part that mosen is a x car dealer ,or the 300,000 to run the project part which is fact , maybe im wrong and you do think bsl owns the rights to open wheel raceing please inform me if this is not correct or the fact that mosen was told he wasnt wanted turned up to one meeting never showed for the rest , lets see on the 2oth i pray that no more bad news comes for this sport with the rock infested death trap that there currently raceing on and someone gets a bad injury or the crowd im sure i didnt make this up about the rocks and the state of the track

James Earls crash was caused by a rock which knocked him out cold, the sport is dangerous enough without that rubbish, mosen and buckley should be held accountable,i have been told by James mother the drivers complained about the rocks and mosen just said if you want the rocks gone go and pick then up yourself, not good.

The second part is absolutely not true at all. I was in that meeting. The concussion could have been caused by a number of things. Making statements without fact is extremely stupid.

What actually happened is a driver suggested the drivers walk a loop of the track to remove rocks and any other debris and the promoter was happy for the drivers to do that. I don't believe it should be up to drivers to undertake a task like that but it was pleasing to see drivers trying to become part of the solution.

Saw the link in another post to Jamie Larsen's facebook page showing the damage done to his car from track debris in the first race of the last meeting, if I was a driver/owner I'd be pretty annoyed while also being thankful that it was the bonnet & firewall that took most of the impact. A spectator wouldn't have been so lucky & the press would have had a field day

it seems more to be large chunks of clay as opposed to rocks. Same as what happened to Ant Goodwin.
The track seems to be too soft, but then if it was drier and harder people would be complaining about dust and slick track.
Run a dirt track instead of a clay track maybe?

From memory Ant Goodwins head (or very close to it) hit one of the fence piles. Nothing to do with dirt and stones on the track. The track has been fine to race - drive the top line around the bumps if you don’t like them - the last two meetings it hasn’t been that hard. Maybe drivers should look at screens in there cages - I for one learnt the hard way and was lucky when a torque tube was flying through the air and ended up taking out a panel - ever since I have been a strong advocate for cockpit screens (not rock screens - they are completely different)

A statement is read out at drivers meeting stating,,,, that if you dont like a situation talk to a official, if the problem cant be resolved or you dont like the result then you are welcome not to race. Guess soon if theres no competitors theres no show or business. Someone soon will get seriously hurt soon...oh hang on look at Mr Townsend many moons back, thats why he stopped racing.

According to article on Herald web page the cost of the shift to Colin Dale Park has already ballooned to $30m and the council is already cash strapped.
