When the falcon and holden engines dry up I assume Jap Engines will be the next "norm" of stockcar motors.
Which manufacturer/s will be the engines of the future?

Have to think about the standard power range as a starting point
ford Falcons in line 6 157 kW? Stopped building 2002
Holden v6 152 kW stopped building 2004
What was in production from 2004 to 2014 around the power range in numbers?
Irrespective of cams, capacity, valves? Turbos?
What with a set or rings bearings and rod bolts would deliver say 180kw all day standard?
These sort of questions might guide some thinking perhaps.
14 years since those ,others stopped being made at factory so we must get be in the high supply now, but shortage could be looming in 5 perhaps

Tell every one they got 5 years to organise themselves, then go crate motor v8 as the only power plant allowed ( or a range of similar motors) and not to be fked with.... simple..those crate motors will keep you on the track in supers but dont rev out...perfect for stockcars imho

If I remember correctly, Mitsubishi NZ had a 380 variant the gave 183kw with very strong torque figures. A holden salesman who crossed over reckoned the 380 left the commodore behind..for pure grunt .... shame the Aussie design teAm put a back sloping roof on a car for big ppl..doh..

yup, have to agree with you, on both the 5 years and the sound. the current 6's being used sound terrible, especially the V6's
