After watching the replay of last years world final does anyone know why the flag man seems to wave his arm in the air as the cars go past each lap and what the silver disc is he holds out with a few laps to go? I went to a meeting when I was in the UK and if I remember right, the flagman is telling each driver who is first, second, third, fourth and fifth as they go past. Could be completely wrong but the guy was really entertaining (this was at Birmingham) and then presents the flag and trophies too.

The starter is indicating to the driver their position. The boards also mentioned are lap boards which are used to indicate how many laps are remaining starting at five. We also use the Union Jack to indicate the halfway point.

Share to here from British Stock Car Drivers Association: William Humphries (NZ94P) makes his return to the UK for his 2nd BriSCA F1 World Championship Final. William raced at last year's World Final at Skegness Stadium, lining up on row 12 as NZ1 in the Ben Riley (422) tarmac car. Unfortunately for William, the World Championship meeting didn't go to plan for him but of the 4 meetings he did attend, he claimed 5 top 12 finishes including a 4th place finish in his Heat on the Friday night before the World Final. William will be at the wheel of the Danny Wainman (212) shale car and will be hoping to take advantage of the fact that this year's event is on his preferred surface of shale. William has his say on the World Championship Final in just 5 days time. πBriSCA F1 Championship of the World ποΈ Adrian Flux Arena, King's Lynn, PE34 3AG ποΈ Saturday 14th September π Overseas Time trials start time - 12:30pm π Meeting start time - 5:30pm (Time trials subject to weather conditions) Jordan Dare (NZ581P), part of the Red Waka 591 581 & 571 Motorsports team, returns to the UK for his 2nd BriSCA F1 World Championship Final. Jordan last raced back in 2017 when he raced in the World Final at Foxhall Stadium, Ipswich where he lined up on row 16 in the Jordan Falding (36) car. Unfortunately things didn't go to plan that night but it was in an unfamiliar car and an unfamiliar surface so the odds were against him. Whilst over in 2017 he did get the chance to race at the Adrian Flux Arena, King's Lynn, the host of this year's World Final. Jordan faired a lot better on loose stuff with a 5th place finish in his Heat, a 12th place in the Grand Final followed by another 5th place in the Grand National whilst piloting the Ben Hurdman (207) car. Jordan has been lucky enough to race at this year's event as he has been granted a break in filming for the upcoming series of Married at First Sight NZ. Jordan will be at the wheel of a Jordan Falding (36) car again and will be hoping to take advantage of the fact that this year's event is on his preferred surface of shale.

Jayden Ward (NZ971C) made his UK debut just under 2 weeks ago at King's Lynn in preparation for his first BriSCA F1 World Championship Final in just 3 days time. Jayden, who is using a Mat Newson hire car, recorded a 12th place finish in his Heat but was unfortunate not to record any further top 12 places during the meeting due to tangles throughout the races but one thing that stood out to everyone was the fact he recorded the fastest lap in his Heat with a time of 16.674 seconds. Jayden went on to better his lap times and on the night he recorded the 21st fastest lap from a turnout of 70+ cars. Jayden will be hoping to put his practice from that meeting into more good lap times on Saturday as he competes in the Overseas Time Trials and looks to gain that 3rd row inside place for the big race later in the meeting. Jayden's fastest lap can be compared to the others drivers below. There was only 0.336 seconds difference between him and Danny Wainman (212) who set the fastest lap of the evening. speedhive.mylaps.com/Sessions/5567710Jayden has his say on the World Championship Final in just 3 days time. πBriSCA F1 Championship of the World ποΈ Adrian Flux Arena, King's Lynn, PE34 3AG ποΈ Saturday 14th September π Overseas Time trials start time - 12:30pm π Meeting start time - 5:30pm

Malcolm Ngatai (NZ19C) returns to the UK for another shot at the BriSCA F1 World Championship Final this weekend. Malcolm arrived in time to put the newly acquired Falding car of Dave Riley's through it's paces at King's Lynn just under two weeks ago. Unfortunately for Malcolm, the meeting didn't quite go to plan as he picked up some damage during the meeting. Malcolm is no stranger to racing in the UK and is capable of good places as proven when he visited in 2009. Malcolm recorded a 2nd place at Coventry Stadium followed by a 2nd place at the Friday night meeting before the 2009 World Final at King's Lynn, the setting for this year's World Final. Can Malcolm go one better this weekend? We will find out in just a couple of days.

Somehow i dont think he will , those poms know how to take visitors out just as the kiwis do to them when they come here . Plus he only has Jayden Ward to help him out and no Asher Rees .. lol..
