I had the privilege of having a yarn with Jumbo at Napier Hospital recently about all sorts of things, I'll post the video soon, it goes for about an hour. Jumbos family have also loaned me a lot of photos to make a slideshow which I will complete tonight and share soon. Sincere condolences to all Jums family and many friends, one of the great ones has fallen. Aroha Nui Pete & Nicola

RIP Jumbo. My sincere condolences to Jumbo's family. I knew Jumbo in the mid/ late 1970's when I used to get Ford parts off Eastside Autos and Star Motors when I was a young lad in the Airforce at Wigram. Jumbo gave me a lot of advice and his sense of humour was very evident. I also used to go and watch him race at Woodford Glen. I thought of him as a legend then and that has remained with me ever since those days
