Go to Bp Speedway site, News section and entry list for 28th meeting there. Safe traveling, unfortunately more carnage on our hiways than on the track

Set the almost impossible task of prepping a track in the rain window which opened about midday and closed again about 9.40pm, they did a miraculous job to get any racing at all. The track was still difficult to negotiate (from my observation point at turn 3). A very good holiday crowd turned up, which was also a bit unexpected given the weather. Midgets were a very stop start affair. I think 1 heat restarted 4 times without a lap being completed. But as much as people will point to the track conditions, the reality is the the cream rose to the top. So good drivers will make the most of what they are given. Buddy K took it out in the end with Pickens 2nd. Sprintcars had 3 heats and didn't get their feature due to the rain and the delays during the evening (restarts & track maintenance) the Wood duel was a highlight with Rodney taking a win over Cole. Super stocks were fun to see on track. Especially with so many that turned up to show their respect for Hokey Ashby. I didn't count but a lot of tracks were represented. However, there wasn't any big hits (I wasn't expecting any with the big meetings coming up). As usual the Rees name featured prominently. Jack Miers in the borrowed 7H car won the all in final. It was great to see the drivers from all the classes helping out with the track maintenance after their race while the next group was getting ready. It really does show the genuine care they have with everyone helping out to achieve a night of racing. Over all while the racing on track was, at times, difficult to watch, if you were able to see more of what was going on and appreciate that - I was impressed with the night

Palmy used to have a field of 36 superstocks for the goable challenge. Haha I will now refer to them as the good old days lol

One of the better baypark meeting I have been to , awesome to see a big feild of super stocks , biggest I can remember there
The track prep team with a heap of help from all drivers made a track that was race able in difficult circumstances with the weather
Rain stopped the sprint car feature but I doubt they could have got it started before the curfew anyway

Barry B Back in 2017 there was a meeting where 37 Superstocks and about 50 Stockcars started (not together), was awesome

There is nothing repeat nothing better that gets my hair standing up on the back of my neck than a huge field of Superstocks hitting the first corner after a standing start , you just cant beat that sound.
