Commentators are beginning to confuse themself and us. My understanding, for a top 4 spot in the group, there has to be a run off? And for a spot 5th-8th in group for repecharge, that is decided by fastest lap time? Due to time issues they are sticking with fastest lap times for both top 4 and 5th-8th positions, so no run off.

If there is a tie in group 2 I have 14r advancing with a lap time of 18.958 ahead of 422b of 19.063

Remind me why we care where you qualify? Ummm, because with over 120 cars entered and only the top 26 making the finals (meaning about 80% of those entered don't make the finals), well, maybe you can answer the question yourself? Barry B

Hopefully Ngatai can squeak himself into the finals field and team Suck it up can have a crack at all those G cars
In saying that I haven’t seen 808 qualified in any other lists

Well done Percy. Will be interesting with all of the relegations and other little hiccups [like transmitters not working] how accurate that ends up being. I wonder whether the electronics was up with the play of the referee. Commentary on caught than Ngatai, who they had announced was 4th= in his group, had in fact been relegated. Hopefully the setting sun will not only lessen the dust but calm everybody down as well 😜

Unofficially, this looks like the finals field to my eye - possibly Tennant over Hunter?

I do note some sources have 335r Hunter in at the expense of 808c Tennant. Was only one point between them off the live timing so a relegation or similar adjustment could easily tip that in the favour of Hunter.

Barry B Get that Barry thanks.... I mean you qualify then you qualify what's it matter if you qualify first or 26th? That's my question. Only the top 4 from each group proceed to the finals. 6 groups x 4 = 24 qualifiers. Positions 5th through 8th in each group (24 drivers) + the next two highest on points overall go into a 1 race repechage. 1st and 2nd joint the other 24 as finalists. The other 90-something drivers are done for the weekend as far as winning the title goes. So you don't actually qualify 26th. It's all about those you're racing in your group. Barry B
