, not forgetting the deep South's Paul Simon who had previously had quite a career with Art Garfunkel. Probably a shame they never paired up on a Sidecar 🤣 Barry B Funny you say that because Paul Simon (the musician) has a great love of Sidecar racing but wasn't allowed to race on medical advice. After carrying Art Garfunkel for all those years, he couldn't risk any further damage to his spine.

Thanks, Tapped, tried to find but no luck. It can be tricky to find. If you go to website, then classes, then REGISTER FOR NEXT MEETING. Which takes you to the right place.

I'm a big fan of both Streetstocks and Sidecars (possibly the only crossover fan between the two in the Universe), so I can't make up my mind between Palmy and Wellington. I've made the Modifieds my tiebreaker. If Wellington manage to cobble together 10+ Modifieds for the Saturday I'll head to Te Marua, otherwise it will be another trip to Palmy. Love sidecars enjoy streetstocks but superstocks is my number 1

Make that 3 - Rammers & NZ Sauber. Sidecars are definitely #1 & always worth the price of admission. The Streetstocks always have the right attitude, which was even better under the old rules back in the late 90's when I was in Gisborne as the car running first was always the target with Nigel Patterson often leading the chase. remember the mid 80s to mid 90s streetstocks fondly. The likes of Patterson & Watene Waikari from Gizzy, The Chargers of the likes of Bill Peat(A), Eddie Dobson(R) & Brian Menefy(P), the Welly drivers like Richard Gaskin, Gary Marshall and Graeme Wood. I didn't get down south often back then... I tended to stay in New Zealand lol Good times and good memories. I'm rapt to see the class back in good heart in the north island after a very shakey looking period not too many years back I won't even start on the sidecars and the good times back in the day 🤣 Ah the good ol days when streetstocks hit harder and more often than stockcars 🤪 my first nz title down south was in Nelson in the year 2000 now that was a eye opener. I thought I hit hard and quite often ,but them south boys took to us north islanders like maggots to a carcase🤣🤣 still bloody good fun though

Thank you. You have been officially appointed to post the link for tomorrow night as well! Haha - that will depend on internet coverage at the 240's where I will be. Was a tight call between these two meetings. Should have gone with the streetstocks by the look.

I see a number of DQs listed amongst the MyLaps results. Presumably these were amended after the race by the referee for indescretions of some sort. Can anyone enlighten me as to what those might have been please?

What's the weather at the track looking like? Forecast is for showers through the day into the evening but to be 24c odd. But the tracks position in the valley is often totally different.

How's it looking at the track? She's a bit moist, if I'm honest. No doubt the will do their utmost to get the meeting done. But sitting in the carpark i feel the weather might carry the day.
