Timeline for tonight... 3pm - General public gates open (all gates). Tickets will be available to purchase from Gate 2 (Bridge), Gate 3 (Cook St) and back field. Gate 1 (Waldegrave St) and 4 (Pascal St) is entry for pre-purchased ticket holders only. 4pm - Live band (Epic) 5:30pm - Grand Parade Racing commences after Grand Parade Support classes: Superstocks and Super Saloons Clubrooms will be open after racing

Any idea what the two tier combatants will be given that 5th & 6th were on the same points as were 7th & 8th?? Normally it would be 5 v 8 and 6 v 7....
I presume it still applies that a Tier Two side can end up being 3rd??

Read somewhere, not official, Mustangs will have a run-off with Wanganui, which will be event 2. GB and Baypark must have done a coin toss. Run-off winner v Baypark, Loser to v GB.
Yes can still get 3rd spot from tier 2

No, it’s a new format they started years ago, basically gives incentive for the tier 2 teams to turn up night 2. Still the chance to get a podium. Only 4 teams have a chance to win the event, but if a team loses tier 1 semi and gets less points than the team who lost the other tier 1 semi, then that team will be in the 5th/6th place race off. Big let down for those teams, as they were close to a final.
