Just curious if anyone else applied for a refund due to the postponement on the weekend and if you have had any acknowledgement to your request? All requests have to be made by 12 February.

Can you still get a refund if the events Postponed and not cancelled?. NZ legislation says ''If a show or event is postponed and the new date doesn't suit you, you MAY be able to claim a refund''. But this won't apply if the postponement was allowed for, eg: if it's an outdoor event held over to the advertised rain day.

Not up with the fine print, was just going by what the email from Ticketek stated and assume I have read it correctly. Was surprised to see people trying to sell tickets they could no longer use so maybe I'm wrong. "If you are unable to attend the new event date, please email your refund request to commercial@ticketek.co.nz, quoting your Ticketek transaction or account number. If your original ticket purchase was via credit card and that card has subsequently been cancelled or has expired, or you purchased at an Agency, please include your bank account details for us to process your refund. All refund requests must be submitted no later than Monday 12th February 2024."

I did hear of this email, but I didn't get it for the tickets I got. I left mine for my mate that put me up for the weekend. He took someone that hadn't been before and is now hooked. He couldn't believe what the drivers do with those mega dollar cars.
After being for sooooo many consecutive years sometimes it is good to hear that. I think we can take it for granted when there is a supposed "tamer " year.
