A little bit late but worthy of a mention. I thought the interviews of drivers from within teams prior to the weekend was awesome.
Not sure if other teams did it but, the busters and panthers popped up in my feeds on facebook.
General chat plus with the panthers some set questions. I thought it was really well done. Some of the guys prob didn't like the camera too much, but was a great listen for this fan.
I think it would be a great thing to do for all teams next year. Really shows the drivers as people without their helemts on.
I normally support three teams: Busters - where i live now. Gizzy - where I grew up and now they have a team, and, Any other team that races Palmy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( due to their absolute dominance when I 1st attended.)
Turns out Palmy drivers are pretty cool too.
I think it would be great for all teams to do this next year. A general chat and then 6 set questions would be a good format.
Pineapple on pizza? Best superstock other than your own? most respected rival?
Already looking forward to next year. 4 seeded teams and some big non seeded teams will make for some juicy qually night races!

Agreed, those pre event interviews are a great way to do some build up towards the meeting and there are some very passionate people out there who provide them but at the actual event the official livestream Company commissioned to film the meeting should be the only ones doing that including interviews.

Yep 100% agree During the week, be it teams or other media sources are doing some great things for speedway. I myself am really enjoying watching it. But come event day the likes of in the pits and the square Im with Mike and I know other commentators agree it should be the track commentary team or stream/media provider who take care of the interviewers. Streaming companies are investing some serious coin into state of the art gear and should have exclusivness to drivers. The other thing I find is when doing our official interviews no matter the event some drivers cbf or dont want to talk because theyre busy and have already conducted 1 or 2 interviews before the official team get to them. Remember our drivers arent professionals and dont get media training, some are hard to get boo out of as it is. Some may or may not agree but I still believe there is a place for us to all work together in benifit of the sport.

Hence the title of the thread "pre" teams champs.
I thought it was great because it was more about the drivers themselves, and the lead up to the event, and not whats happening once the event is started. As you say some drivers are quite hard to get a word out of. That makes what the Busters and Panthers did all the better for me.
Previews are a great way to build some hype, and give fans an insight to drivers who the majority of us only see in cars and with helmets on.
Its certainly not encroaching on the paid services of the live stream providers or promoters.
Keep up the great work you do Mike and Stu. These interviews wont be doing you out of a job anytime soon. Not sure if others are posting interviews once the meeting has started for you to make the comments you have. I haven't sen any of such.
