There was talk of 34t and 27c. Would be great if both Ray and Trevor were there. That makes 21 cars from this thread. If 27-28 cars is accurate there is another 6ish cars to be mentioned. I am sure that there will be one or two macgorians in the know that could help complete the line up . Grandad mentioned Steve Williams is out. What about Peter Hemi and Craig Cardwell, 31h ?

Newspaper article Nutz kindly posted on the other GP thread mentions Paddy North ( albeit it says he is from Dunedin ). That makes 25 cars (provided we are all correct ).

I have had an email back from Tim Savell re SNZ's stance on entry lists for SNZ championships. He is aware (as are SPANZ) of the frustration of spectators wanting to know entries for this meet. Additional restictions and conditions can not be added once the championship has been allocated and a contract signed.
I asked if he could liase with track promoters and post an entry list on the SNZ site, and he suggested that would be duplication as most clubs, promoters are doing a good job at this. I agree with what Tim is saying, and he suggests things will get tighter
It seems we shall be in the dark for a while longer as to the happeninggs at the Might Baypark.

Maybe Willie Kay is more clever than we think and we are not giving him the deserved credit that could be due.
By not publishing a list, we will have to go, just to see who turns up.
The bugger will probably have a bumper crowd....................Talk of 4 cars from the Mainland is enough for me to travel from Jafaland

Not sure bout that quickchange. I think more people are not traveling to BP and going to Well or Palmy (or both) because of the lack of info.
I really love the supers, but almost decided to travel 6 hours to Wellington rather than 10mins to my home track. Not that anybody would care I expect. Lol.

... By not publishing a list, we will have to go, just to see who turns up ... Many in the speedway fraternity are very discerning, very careful where they spend there speedway dollar. This weekend there is a couple of choices. Very few folk will pay for a meal without first having a good look at the menu!

Yes Murray quite true.
Its a little bit different for us in the fact that theres 4 of us coming down who love Super Saloons and have family and friends racing in the event.
Add that in Auckland we are Super Saloon starved from decent events, I suppose with it being a title we are guaranteed a better field than normal.

Did you make it to Cromwell for the Super Saloon Champs? Unbelievably professional racing on a track that retained drive for the two days, despite the high 30's temp. You are in for a treat if Dean W (and the rest of the field) can get his power down, and Brent E has taken his new medication!

34T left the Dunedin station at 3:00pm, destination THE PARK. ;D At the Supers champs when we crossed the finish line in the last race, the special flywheel disintegrated at 8500 rpm, wrecked the triple plate clutch, smashed the bell housing, cut thru a main chassis tube, took out brake lines and electrical sensors and other fancy computor stuff. I still have ten toes tho. Couldnt find another FJ20 auto bell housing so rebuilt the original. Finished the job and in the trailer at 2:00pm today. Ray
