Hi all!
Chris underwent his first set of skin grafts on Wednesday last week and unfortunately he has collected the normal infections you get as a burns patient. Second set of skin grafts is due for tomorrow – Monday 2 Feb. As tough as Chris is and with any major burns patients it will be a long road to recovery. Visitors have been restricted to help Chris get through this as fast as possible.
For all you well wishers, the card that was signed by all at Rotorua Speedway last night has been passed on to Chris and well received. All those who also wish to pass on their regards can do that on here and we will copy of any postings and get them up to Chris, or you can post a note to Chris Allan, C/- PO Box 73195, Auckland Airport 2150.
We’ll keep postings updated as Chris makes progress.
Cheers Mel, Luke and Harriet Saloon 112R & Ministock 63R

Hi all
After more skin grafts on Monday 2nd, Chris was placed into an induced coma for the best part of 2 days as he wasn't making significant improvements. Chris was alert and respondant today making good progress. Doctors will have another go at surgery tomorrow - Thursday 5th as they are still battling the infections. They are allowing no visitors in until they are sure things are under control.
Messages have been passed onto Chris and have been greatly received. Keep them coming!
Cheers for now Mel, Harriet & Luke Saloon 112R & Ministock 63R

As a race car burn victim myself, I can comprehend with Chris and his Family....People please don't be offended when they ask for no visitors....This is the easiest way to pass infection on to Chris...Just want to let the Allan family know that we are all thinking of him and the family....Kia Kaha
