Pete is such a versatile driver. He can deal with pretty much any situation on the track, whether he is attacking, defending or racing. He is definitely right up there when it comes to big names of the sport.

I see on his website that he's up to car #50 - that is an impressive output. How does that stack up against the likes of Kuriger and Gordge?

I spoke to Peter Rees at the Auckland Teams A.M.F. the year he raced for Waikato. There was no Palmy team that year( why doesn't matter) I thanked him for coming and putting on a good show. His reply was that all he wanted to do was race stock cars and socialise. Says a lot about the man.

And while youre on the list of past acheivements...
Pete brought both cars to Nelson last Easter and promptly won the Stockcar Easter Champs. Cant remember where he finished in the superstock but was well up there I think.
I'm sure I'll be reminded by the Nelson Petes if I'm wrong ;D

about 8 years ago Pete Rees was becoming a legend, about 6 years ago he became a legend... Today I have seen nothing that would suggest otherwise Been a supporter of this man since 1999 watching him mix it up every week battling against drivers who were once bigger than him, only to start building is own cars and making himself the biggest name in Speedway in Palmerston North. Full credit to him and his crew for all there hard work over the years.

Peter is one driver that knows how to use his front bumper when needed and called for then again he knows how to use the loud pedal to win races and that to me is a real STOCKCAR DRIVER he is not like some who whine that someone like Peter has hit them. Those drivers why don't you go race in a non contact class as hitting is part of stockcars not just running for the flag. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK PETER REES ;D

i think that a point not mentioned anywhere, is that peter rees has lifted the bar by a huge amount, which in turn has forced other competitors to raise their level.

Love or Hate him, I think everyone does agree Peter Rees is one hell of a entertainer and one hell of a racer.
I would even go as far to say he is The best Stockcar driver in the country at the moment.
