On page 12 there is a photo of #59c Brad Rosewarne at the NZ Superstock title erupting into flames it states that this was caused by a heavy hit into wall which is wrong in fact was caused by him drilling #27c Peter Feild at full noise in the back of the car after Feildsy turned Brad around at the start of R1 of the non qualifyers PS Go #59/71c And The 2009 Glen Eagles at the 2009 Palmie Teams Champs

The caption of Shane Penn rolling is not quite right either, as he had already missed qualifying when this happened. The Editor was sent a HEAP of pics from this meeting without captions, certainly not making her job any easier.
I don't think it really counts as a member of the "major boo boo" category however......

Subscription would be the way to go if you have trouble finding a retailer that stocks NZDTR

No longer at the BP in Pine hill either.. Sounds like the distribution section of NZDTR are making some cut backs. Lack of Organisation on a photographers part should not constitute an emergency on the editors part ;D Just chuck in what you think happened & make it sound good.. Seems to work for the majority of the reporters out there in all forms of media representation... A hearty man goes a fishin. Poor NZDTR copping it in the neck every month.. Maybe Jamo & Chequebook could write a fantasy section for Linda..

I think the fact that both the story and the pics only turned up a very short time before that issue went off to print, added to the problem. Most macgorians would have no idea what goes on behind the scenes to get some of this information through, but there are certainly a few subtle changes as far as presentation and content goes over the next few months.......

This is definitely only a minor boo boo. If the writers aren't watching that particular car at that particular time how are they going to know exactly what happened? they can only write what they see just as any normal spectator would if they had seen the racing, you don't always get to see everything especially when there are large numbers of cars on the track.

There's going to be a lot more of the driver-interview style reporting going on over the championship season too, as with NZ1c Malcolm Ngatai's win in the NZ Superstock Champs in the last issue......if it turns out people like reading what the drivers have to say, at least.
For the next issue, so far, Frankie Wainman Jnr has talked of his historic third World 240's victory as well as looking ahead to the P/N Teams Champs (which will have been held by the time it hits the streets), Roydon Collingwood and Steve Hampton speak about "that" incident, while Richard Gaskin, Dale Roberstson and Peter Rees all speak about their experiences at the NZ Stockcar Champs in Wellington.

Apparently there has beens subtle changes to the paper, and the way the pics are done, I think. It's all too technical for me ;D
