When all else fails read the instructions FAQ. How much bandwidth does Speedbox use? Will it eat all my bandwidth? For users with limits on their internet usage you need to read this carefully, particulary if your ISP has a usage limit or charges your data usage on a per megabyte basis.
Speedbox uses a relatively high amount of bandwidth per hour and could exceed a 1 GB cap in a few hours.
If you are concerned about your bandwidth, make sure you choose a low bit-rate when watching speedbox. Also, most ISP’s allow you to check how much data you have available, or have used – if you keep an eye on this you will be able to manage your data allowance effectively. www.speedbox.tv/FAQs.aspx

We went over our gig limit of 25 after downloading heaps of stuff, films, series episodes etc, we were 3 gig over including world 240s and paid 3 bucks extra. I think Speedbox were saying a gig or so an hour. Was rapt last week, no cacheing, no waiting, TV quality nearly, on my tv thru the lap top, heaven. Signing up for the teams and not missing out,, O for awesome. ;D ;D

Stomper it comes down to your tv i think. If it has a vga chanel on it your sussed using a vga lead, just like the one that hooks a computer to a monitor, then a cable from your tele, red and white rca style into one plug into the headphone socket on your lap top. Just head out to your local computer retailer, they will tell you zactly what you need, cost me round 20 bucks and finished.

Orcon, in our experience downloads faster and more reliable than Telecom, etc, various plans available , Its important to the wife and me that we have a good isp, previous had been a disaster with bandwidth being reduced at various times, lyes about the quality of our lines etc, called in the new provider, instant speed up and reliability improvement, calls, line rental etc in one happy bundle.

Connecting tv to laptop is easy, most tvs will have either VGA, HDMI or S-Video. Either of the above cables that will connect to the laptop/computer will carry picture (vga and svideo) but HDMI it running from an HDMI port to HDMI port will carry both sound and picture.
If you have only VGA or S-Video you will need a RCA (red white) to a 3.5mm jack. Like ZItadel has said just plug them into the headphone jack.
After that its a matter of getting your resolution right and you are off to the races so to speak, this way you can watch anything ony our tv thats on your laptop and even play games through it.

I have tried my laptop once before via S Video and not too bad, just wanted to see if it would work. what resolution do you suggest or is it trial and error based on your TV. Not got wide screen yet

Just start at the bottom and slide your way up the resolution bar until you get one that works best on your tv.
