Yes I have watched the coverage and was very dissapointed,
It excluded all of the driver interviews, the gridding up laps were not necessary and nearly all of the shots where too close in on the cars instead of panning out to include several cars in the same shot.
This would have provided a better aspect for the viewers and would have shown the speed and the passing.

I agree with Macgor on this one too we waited with anticipation to watch this Championship meeting having recently been to Cromwell and thought it was such a terrific track for viewing and for racing. However, although we were happy that speedway is actually getting some tv coverage, the fact that there seemed to be more time spent watching cars lap round on the yellow, than actual racing, when the racing was actually going there were only numbers one and two car. What about the rest of the field? Just a suggestion.

This coverage higlighted a lot of outside assistance during the running of this title..... it is amazing that the drivers were allowed this by the staff from Cromwell and SNZ.
Another Question? Is Cromwell going to get a higher saftey fence for the NZ Sprintcars? Considering some of the AIR TIME that the TOP DRIVERS can get when things go WRONG.... A few video sessions of how the GUNS do the BUSINESS in WESTERN SPRINGS could assist you if you are looking at upgradding the FENCES for the saftey of the PUBLIC and the DRIVERS.

Not hard to miss when several cars pull up on a yellow and the staff talk to the driver then go around and check there car...... in Palmerston North Sprintcar Star Craig Dollasnky in the Salter Cartage 7USA car was disqualified for similar........

Was not that similar. I was in Palmy that night, and the Salter crew was on the infield during racing - not legal in itself the way I understand it. Said crew then touched the car under caution, that was the reason for the DQ, not track staff talking or checking......

Agree - But surely anyone checking and conveying what ever to the driver is outside assistance. The only conversation should be from SNZ as in you are out or whatever.... If a driver is concerned regarding his car he should either keep going (for points etc) or pull off....

For me it depends what was said.
If the conversation between track staff and driver was '' am I safe to continue'' and got a yes/no reply from said staff then I would think that is quite a responsible thing to do.
As a side note, having been in a crash crew, i know we have been told by officials that we are not to give advice to drivers about their vehicles. eg: two tangled cars, driver asks ''which way do I point my steering to get out of this jam?'' That particular circumstance referred to a superstock teams race, not sure if it applies in all cases.

I am unsure what you mean as far as outside assisstance however these where some of the incidents.
Trevor Elliot stopped to say that he had a problem with the sun, I then stopped Ray and Richie to check whether they could see ok and they could so I gave Trevor the option of Racing, Parking on the infield or calling 3 minutes so that Tape could be applyed to his car he chose the Later
Ray stewart recieved a knock to his left rear wheel and it had a slightly damaged outer edge, a senior Vechile checker inspected it and he continued on.
There where a number of incidents that required cars to be untangled and for safteys sake each was checked prior to it restarting.
Anyone requiring a push start was given it.
This was how we chose to run the meeting and all drivers where informed about this prior to the racing, Our wish was to keep as many cars involved for as long as possible.
I was very happy with the performance of all crew and Officials.
