Gizzy is a fun and fast track but due to the way the corners are cut they have reduced a 3 car wide track to one and half making it difficult to pass on the outside. Get rid of the big crown in the corner and cut it concave like we had at Cromwell and you will have passing and speed.
Best tracks for Super Saloons; Cromwell, Bay Park, Waikaraka, Blenheim, Dunedin, Wellington is okay,

Steeldog - the Wanganui track is basically egg-shaped, and turn one is the "pointier" end. The sight at the NZ Superstocks last year of 26 supers heading into a tight turn was something to behold, knowing that everyone was desperate to stay off the wall, but knowing deep down that it would all end in tears for someone - in that instance, it was Kim Lace!
As soon as the dates are announced for the NZ Stockcar champs in Wanganui next year, book it into your diary, and make a plan to be here - it's a real stockcar track!

It is a great track for superstocks and stockcars Dave. Inentory1 is right and we will be very keen to make that meet. It is also on top of a hill overlooking the sea and we loved the NZ Superstocks there last year. Great town for a coffee fix and a place in the main street that has the best fisn n chips . Not to be missed

Dead right rebel - and because it's in a bit of an amphitheatre, the banks and the tin fences at the back of them amplify the sound, which adds to the experience - like live home theatre! And if you're sitting on the bank on turn1 and someone hits the wall full noise, you even feel the hit!! It's a multi-sensory experience ;D

Is that the airport next door?
How do the other classes like sprintcars cope with the tight corner?

Is that the airport next door? How do the other classes like sprintcars cope with the tight corner? Yes, airport is next door. The road to the track is shared with the airport. Left to airport, speedway ahead! I couldn't imagine sprintcars racing 'Oceanview', they'd likely end up in it (the ocean, that is)!
