Just read this by Grandad about the Super Saloons. Certainly would like to have seen these boys perform at Baypark which, subject to track prep and the ability to race the whole track width, provides for the best super saloon spectacle. With the huge variety of tracks around, each configuration brings out the best in a certain class. (length, width, corner radius, track surface, banking, wall type, viewing and probably other things which escape my attention) Which track would you rate the best for each of the classes And what does your local track cater the best for? And Why. Bay Park is my local and I love watching all 5 classes we have here but it really does bring out the best of the Sprint Cars, Saloons and Super Saloons. IMHO. I think the wide open spaces mean a large number of ministocks can be out on the track at the same time without running into eachother. The Stocks do put on a good show but I think they would benefit from a narrower track keeping them together more.

Midgets at WP. Come to the Webster Meeting and see these cars fly. Waikaraka parks track is better suited to the open wheelers than western springs IMO. The best midget and TQ racing each season in Auckland usually comes at the end of the season when the invitation meetings happen. Western Springs is also good for the Midgets and TQs but is a bit narrow for the local sprintcars (the americans can still pass and make it really exciting).

Love Napier for all classes other than bikes. It is the track that suits a major portion of classes
If you want class by class see other posts, BP for non contact classes.

"what does Gizzy suit"
Not sure. I almost think the banking is too steep. It doesn't seem multi laned and all drivers seem to apex the corners like being on tarmac. (out wide entry, down to the pole line, and then drift out).
Maybe better for contact classes who can hit. You are pretty much looking at a nascar track on dirt. There doesn't seem to be a low and high line that can be run.
Super saloons Nth Island champs had no-one driving around the wall the full lap. All dived to the apex. Also not alot of passing which suggested there was one line to run.
