Profiles, policy statements and the like are only valid if members can measure the performance of successful candidates against their pre-election statements.
I hope somebody corrects me BUT my guess is that once elected it's 'rally around the flag boys' .. you have to be a good and faithful team member, and say nothing that indicates how you voted, your opinion for or against decisions made. Without that knowledge we wouldn't have a clue who to vote for!
Minutes available from SNZ don't include details of input by individual directors nor how they voted. I understand 'carwrecker' is a director and should this be correct, top marks to him, a director who isn't afraid to publically express an opinion.
The system (constitution) seems in part to be more about self-preservation than democratic processes for best outcomes.
The fact that I can be Prime minister with no prior experience BUT NOT President of SNZ without first being a director illustrates this quite clearly.

Here is a question....... Like council voting why dont all SNZ Licence Members get voting papers sent out with a return envelope and vote individually on the directors etc etc jeez aaron, that would be far to easy, SNZ cant be seen to vote for its directors/president etc in the normal democratic way, c'mon its gotta be behind close doors(starts humming the old Soviet national anthem ;D ;D ;D)
