from their job for stealing should be on a speedway tracks management team?
come to think about it do you think clubs should be able to do police checks on those that control our clubs? and that info made public to the club members?

If you're getting at who I think you are, that's a pretty low blow - and pretty dangerous unless you're real sure of your facts !

It maybe a random question - I mean, they're are a few random folk on Macgor's - but I suspect it's not. Will be monitoring this thread closely.

I will post regarding the second question only...
Police checks only pick up criminal and driver history. If someone was sacked for a criminal offence, but not prosecuted a police check won't pick that up.
In saying that, unless the role specifically is in the area of security a police check should not be necessary. In the area of security, I believe a Cert Of Approval should be issued by the Justice dept under the Security Guards Act 1974, and those are police vetted anyway.

i think that all members of the "team" should have credit checks done on them! After all in a club situation do you think that those with bad or no credit should be making decisions on Funds that are the clubs especailly those who have a history of bad debt etc

Touch wood, not me personally, but not everyone with a slack credit rating is a criminal.

What if it's a person like myself who 5 years ago was dumb enough to put a flat phone account in their name then to have people bugger off and not pay hence me getting landed with bad credit. I understand the thought behind it, but surely it's a bit of a badly thought out blanket statement.

Do you think that some caught deliberately speeding should be allowed to control a vechile again? In some cases they should not, in others the punishment handed out is sufficent and we all get on with our lives. This is a nonsense question because it asks for opinions without facts and this is NOT the place for airing that kind of laundry. I think the law has a word for it - Slander. This you can also be taken to court for. If you really have a problem with this take it up with those in charge at your local club, Use your voting power, or if you feel really strongly about it and get nowhere any other way - vote with your feet.

Let's face it people ... someone's fishing here.
Let's not take the bait.
In fact it would be better if this thread was killed before some less-than-sophisticated member dropped us all in it.
imho

I tend to agree - the thread author is obviously not prepared to put up, so the obvious answer to that is...........
