The good old days when nellie was a stock car driver and not a flagman like today.Sorry dude no pictures but it was a great place to take the family. You took a blanket ,a chilly bin with what ever poison you liked and you could even take in K F C or the likes unlike now days.Every one was close to the track and the atmosphere was great. The kids wanted to go just to see Squarebush the clown and some of the stunts the dude did ,he should have been in some James Bond movie ;D They ran street stocks midgets as well as the classes we have now except sprintcars. The even used to run solo bikes earlier on and a 16year old named David Barge (think that was his name) used to thrill the crowds. Just threw out old programs from the 70s a couple of years ago, if i had a computer then you could have had them. Well we have a great track now and the racing is great but there is no atmosphere dew to small crowds, never mind its easy to get food and the toilets are never full. Hopefully this weather will clear so i can get my fix as it has been 4 weeks

Great track, great promotion, great atmosphere, great cars and great competitors......it was mainly about people, basically it is the people involved that makes anything either succeed, or fail.....the old Bay Park rarely failed.
