Two of Auckland's staunchest speedway supporters of the past will be saluted on Saturday night at Waikaraka Park, with the first John Webster 4CROWNS promotion.
Midgets and TQS love Waikaraka park and we welcome them to do it the way they love to do it at our place, fast real fast. The Barry Butterworth memorial will be the feature for me, I'm looking forward to 40 laps of some of the hottest racing Ill see this year.
Saloons and stock cars will do it their way, and the night will be rounded of with the solos strutting their stuff on the bull ring.
Note the earlier start time of 6 PM,
C U there

Could very easily be the best Midget racing of the season. Sadly Sprintcars or even better Modifieds are not running, which is a great pity. Hopefully there will be enough stockcars to provide some action. Bernie are you going to put some candles around the Bullring so we can see the bikes? Oh, and get Frank to water it this week!

See details on the Notice Board as to where you can listen.

Now TQ's and midgets are not my cup of tea either but calling them slow ugly and boring is a bit on the nose! ;D All classes can't be as enjoyable to watch as mods you know! Wish we got to run for $25k at our home track though

Now that would have to be the lowest blow of all.. ...I dont go to Western Springs, but I do enjoy watching the open class when they race at other tracks that I go to IE; Huntly, Kihikihi. The racing is fast and great, but I DO NOT INSULT THEM. I so hope you were taking the PI55....if you wernt get a flipping life.............And I dare you to tell ANY MOD DRIVER in NZ that they are ,
slow ugly and boring they are.
TRIPLE DARE YOU

last time I saw modifieds on the same track as midgets and TQs both the midgets AND the TQs were lapping faster. You can't have seen them very often then. The few times we have raced with them at the same venue the faster midgets have been slightly faster than the slower mods but the faster mods were faster than the best midgets..... know this for a fact as I keep a pretty close eye on the Els info. I would think that power to weight ratio would be pretty similar so there times should be close.
