Well done Scotty, Mike and Bunter. What happened to Jacko (damage too great?) and Glen? And what was the bad luck for Luke? Jacko, Luke both got flat tires within the 1st lap of the race. Glen suffered to much damage last night so was a guest comentator for the modified races tonight. im sure if bunter hadnt of run into keegan the 871 mod would have finished the race... in my opinion ( and thats all it is ) luke looked to have the quickest car out there, so a good lesson learnt before the title next year... the pig islanders race dirty !!

the pig islanders race dirty !! Nothing dirty about this incident, they just rubbed and Luke popped a tire $hit happens. Luke deserves a pat on the back for getting off the track without further incident. As for Luke being the quickest we will never know, facts are the record book shows Scotty was the fastest to cover the 25 laps, so he was the fastest. Thanks to the five North Islands that came down, Brain and Phil from Wellington, Jacko and Bunter from Stratford, and Scotty from Auckland, it was great racing with you guys this weekend, and I'm looking forward to seeing you all again next year.

I think during Saturday nights heats Luke recorded the quickest lap times seen by a modified all season and definitly this weekend, If Im right they were about 15.6 second laps.

Glen got the money for the fastest lap, so you thought wrong. We race each other not the clock, so the fastest lap is irrelevant in determining who was best on the day. Scotty won both features end of story.

Glen 29E won the ProTec Engines sponsored fastest lap for Invasion weekend on the Friday. Check out the ELS on Woodford Glens website for all the details As Brett said, Scotty was the man to beat, but all cars where carrying good speed throughout the weekend

13c Started this season and yes settled into the seat very well.
I would like to have seen Luke Keegan and Glen Leech in the final as both these cars showed the fastest pace overall, but I believe Luke would have won it as he just seems to be on form at this stage.
But the guy that impressed me the most was 49c Maurice Headly, for a guy thats been out of the seat for a long time he was just getting quicker and quicker to the point he almost took third, and he started almost at the back!

I agree, for me the drive of the weekend was Maurice Hedley. it was a shame about Glen's car on Friday and it was a shame a few of the top cars were put out with punchers etc so early in the 25 lapper. Pleased WG managed to fix the bump in turn 1 before saturday night. big thanks to the north islanders for coming down and hopefully those staying have a great time over at the king of the coast. One of my favourite meetings of the season normally.

Well, Was a great weekend of Mod racing, Well done to Scott, Mike and Bunter, yes would have been nice to have seen Luke and Glen in the Final mixing it up but thats Racing, For me I was stoked with WG as this was the first time we had sponsored any part of a meeting and really felt we got great value for money, Congrats to Glen for the fastest lap(glad to see it go to a local), I to also agree that Maurice had a great drive in the Final and he was stoked that he got 4th overall, Well done. Cant wait until the NZs at WG and hope that 1 of our locals can claim it. ;D ;D

I wasnt disputing who got the fastest lap at the modified invasion was only going on what i heard from the announcers during the racing, I applogise for getting it wrong Brett..

Fair Enough For me I was stoked with WG as this was the first time we had sponsored any part of a meeting and really felt we got great value for money, Congrats to Glen for the fastest lap(glad to see it go to a local), Great to see you putting some money up for the Mods, especially pleasing to see you didn't limit it to just your own customers. I to also agree that Maurice had a great drive in the Final and he was stoked that he got 4th overall, Well done. Have to agree, I didn't have anything left when he got to me.

"Great to see you putting some money up for the Mods, especially pleasing to see you didn't limit it to just your own customers." When sponsoring an event it is always open to everyone, not just individuals As I read it's the 1st time he has sponsored an event at Woodford Glen and has always been a huge supporter or the mod class across the board. Be good to see more mods next year

I believe 46 is talking about the "wheel" lovelady was offering to drivers of his frames if they won the final.
