Hey macgorians Have heard from some sources that 16C Mark Osborne will be contracting to Rotorua this season??Can anyone confirm this. While we are on the topic any other drivers contracting elsewhere this coming season Will Shane Penn still be 7P/B Will Andy Mccabe be 31P/B what about Marty :)13W?Peter Rees 10P/N ;D Cheers

well one might wonder with the shift of power to the south island, that perhaps there might be some defections our way. will be interesting how many outsiders will stick with a p on their door this season, or how long it will last if the p this season dont perform.

Though it helps havin Rees and Miers etc on your side, i think most of the "defectors" are at the P for experience more than anything. Mid Season, a normal clubnight is bigger than most local champs elsewhere, and the quality and depth of talent is unsurpassed. Rotorua would be close, but the rest of the NI is fairly tame compared to those 2 tracks.

Rotorua would be close, but the rest of the NI is fairly tame compared to those 2 tracks. i dont doubt that p is the hub of superstocks in the north island, however that maybe not so if the defecters registered to their home tracks. got to see a fair bit of rees racing this season and was a little disapointed that he didnt live up to the reputation he seems to have at his home track. it was exciting to have him here in the south but at the end of the day he did not leave a lasting impression. i think this season it has dawned on him that that those defecters are using the p for cover, saftey in numbers etc and if they are not gaureenteed that protection they may think twice about the benefits of contracting there. personaly i,d love to see those drivers contracting back to their home tracks and boosting some struggling clubs and giving their fans something to cheer about again. p.s sorry if ive have hijacked your thread markus. ;D

Wellington .....reason Teams and getting Superstock numbers back up in Wellington Hawkes Bay will be in good shape as will be up to 20 Superstocks there this season
