Brendan - have you sold your car? Saw it running off the back of the pack on Saturday night and heard the driver's name but didnt recognise it...... You mentioned earlier this year that you were in process of designing a new chassis prototye....any news....

Hi Gazman, thanks for asking. The driver is a young fellow by the name of Matt Petterson. He has what I believe the driving talent, & the motivation to add value to the sprintcar ranks at Palmy, & eventually beyond. It was his first run with traffic, & I think it fair to say he acquited himself quite well. He has indicated he is keen to drive the car on an ongoing basis so that does help keep the cobwebs (& nesting chickens) out of the exhausts. My motivation to drive hasn't gone, but as I have found in the past (along with a few other drivers) that if you are distracted off the track then really you should step back. The second 410 engine I have is on loan to another new driver who will debut very shortly. This effectively puts an end to me driving again in the forseeable future - in a sprintcar anyway. The second car I am building that has inboard shocks and a lower roll centre that I am hoping will better cope with the very slick track conditions we often see will have to wait as I am currently building my boy a ministock. I would happily jump into a stockcar as those things don't require the same level of concentration as the sprinters, but I don't own one so bad luck for me. I'm looking forward to getting Matt up to speed, as well as seeing my boy kick the 'R's. Cheers, BL

Thanks for that Brendan,
Yes, your driver did very well and his speed seemed to pick up during the night. I will watch with interest how he progresses through the season.
I will come and say hello next time I am at Palmy.
Gary
