I disagree. I think Task finishing is a massive blow for the class, not only in the South Island but in the North as well. Tash, being the only lady driver, has a point of difference and has a huge following every where she goes. She has also been one of the only South Island contingent to regularly front up here in the North (Mike Gourley being the other). I have no doubt she will be missed by the class and the fans. Hopefully she can be persuaded to front up one more time in Auckland for the Dirt Cup this season before she pulls the pin. Surely some of you mainlanders can have a whip around to raise enough cash to get her up here for one last shot as a thank you for the years of enjoyment she has given you all at the Glen! I am sure she would welcome all contributions!!

You would think the promotions team at WP would recognise those points, and help subsidise her appearance at the dirt cup. Its one of the biggest meetings for the class, and I'm sure since the class is so strong at the moment that it has a great crowd following. The promotions would be well advised to invest some of those profits in ensuring the drawcards are able to attend.

I am sure they will come up with something, they normally do to try and get some South Island cars up. Will never be enough to cover all costs though which is why I have suggested some of these rich mainlanders give her a helping hand!!

I am sure she would welcome all contributions!! I think even Jamo's insight totally under-estimates what a huge loss Natasha will be to speedway in general. She is the one female racer than has been not only a winner but a genuine title contender for many years. She is the best female role model for the large number of young girl racers we now have. If Tash heard the way she is spoken of by female youth ministock competitors and by the thousands of girls sitting in the stands I'm sure she would be humbled by the adulation she gets. So many of us male fans love it when she humbles the ego driven guys on the track. She is and will always be one of the legends of speedway.
