Just to explain the content removal on the message above.
I'm not about to allow this site to be used to coerce people into gambling on speedway or any other activity .
Sportsbet is a commercial entity , they can pay for their advertising like any other company .

This is your gig and you can do as you see fit, but I wish to clarify as follows:
Sportsbet did not post the item, I did. I have no monetary stake in Speedway betting, however I am their speedway subject matter consultant (for which I receive no renuneration).
I originally approached them to provided betting on the Australian Sprintcar Champs some two years ago, and although very sceptical (of speedway) they eventually agreed.
Through perserverance I have since got them to accept speedway as a legitimate sport, to the point where they now offer betting markets on five to seven speedway events across Australia every week.
Through the trust relationship that has been built up, we now could have NZ events added with as little trouble as flicking a light switch.
I thought the benefit and prestige of having NZ Speedway events listed alongside F-1, NASCAR and V-8 Supercars by the Southern Hemisphere lagest sports bookmaker would be obvious.
With most major sporting codes in recess when over the summer holidays, speedway potentially presents a worthwhile business segment for them and if we are able to convince them accordingly, they will start investing in the sport through advertising and sponsorship, as they already (massively) do in some of the mainstream sports and racing here in Australia.
I am not trying to have the original post reinstated, but I did want to rectify the impression that there was some sort of commercial motive behind it. I thought it was a valid snippet of information for discussion and awareness.

What you posted was an inducement to get people to sign up to sportsbet and gamble . My original response stands .

Andre,
you're pushing a barrow that was designed and built here in NZ .... Our model is both well established and well supported, stands shoulder to shoulder with all the motorsports covered by the TAB and more importantly it does so on its own merits.
"Prestige" is earnt not acquired......go and earn a little before you start trading it.
