'Barry Butterworth is one of the greats and his contribution to the development of sprintcar racing in this country can never be questioned, but his performances at the wheel of a midget are what made him a Legend in both New Zealand and Australia as well as a Champion in the US.'
yup. but he was also real competitive at Parramatta in the early days of sprintcar racing, and as well as his Midwest exploits in the midgets, he raced successfully in NorCal at places like West Capital in Sacremento in winged Modified cars.

Barrys exploits off shore in both sprintcars and modifieds can obviously not be forgotten, but his legend was well and truelly cemented before he sat under a wing. Watching him peddle the Cabramatta Spares sprintcar around Parramatta was a hell of a sight.

wat did you race Mr Brown??? Ummmmmmmm, wasn't referring to myself actualllly. I just happen to have the same nickname as the legend himself, and like THE Barry B I've had it much of my life.
