Not much circulating on Macgors about the champs. Wacky web has a good line up of cars. Well done to the club as lots of driver lists for this weekend. Heard the radio ads lets hope the show is as good as the lead up.
Shame no Parker but doesn't seem to run much in last couple of seasons. Be hard not to put ya money on Foxy given his form this season. Saw the stratty boys at the Gold Cup. The eagle cars were quick especially Bunter. Jacko was goin well. Track suited them. Like to see Brian J get a podium.
Lets hope the oramge roughy stays out of trouble. Go Crumpie
My thoughts anyway. Doug

Geez, what can I say...........apart from don't put your house on me winning it.
Will be using this as an opportunity to make sure I've put the car back together properly and it turns left instead of right before we head off to the South Island.
Hell of a meeting to be basically testing the car. As I described it to someone earlier today, the racing will be ferocious!!!!!

11a came in about 5th or 6th behind 10s Noonan. He had to start off the back (grid 16) - no reason given but there were a few controversial incidents during the night.
A big rollover by 5w McPhee on lap 1 of the first heat caused 3 cars to get flat tyres including Fox who were then allowed to replace them and restart the race, maybe there was a protest? Commentary team were no help!!
1nz ground to a halt about half way thru the final. He started on grid 2.

1nz ground to a halt about half way thru the final. He started on grid 2. The commentators (for what they were worth tonight) said it was a diff failure.

11a got a flat tyre at the start when was involved in lap 1 turn 3 crash. Yellow lights came on, Fox then sat at the pit gate but was told no to changing the front tyre. Then they started griding up again, however only to stop by the gate again to change the front tyre. 11a then won the race. Was later excluded from the race as the rule book clearly states NO 3 minute bell once the first green flag has dropped, which means NO outside assitants which he got to change the tyre along with the other 2 whom were also excluded. Once again, another Balls up by SNZ.

Some very awesome racing tonight, Stratford cars are very quick.
But I must say, Fox is starting to get the 'stockcar' mentality of, if I can't pass him, hit'em, saw it on 2 separate occasions, gave the people the big ol right rear, both of which were Stratford cars. (waits for Fox fans to attack)
And great to see Gary Parker back out in that awesomely presented car.
Congrats to the top 3

Garry Parker was awesome considering how little track time he has had over the last few seasons. Car is immaculate too. Fox fan about to attack warning: ;D I did see one incident you mention on one of the black stratford cars half way down the back straight but to be honest can you single out 11a as the only mod that was involved in contact? Must have been an interesting drivers meeting after heat one. Fox looked prepared to contest the 1st heat with the flat left front wheel which would have slowed him but having seen him win a race with the same predicament in the past, he certainly wouldn't have started the final in last position... BUT yes congrats to the winners on the night.

Congrats to the top 3 no worse than the contact being made by jacko during the start of each pole shuffle.... big congrats to bunter, certainly has a quick car and will be hard to beat for the national title

Jamo maybe you might know? be awesome to see that nicely presented mod down here in january. thanks If this is the case why was he aloud to run last night?? In the rule book you must have run 1 meeting prior the Championship if you ran last year. If he never ran last year then he has to do three?? Can someone please explain.

Don't hold me to it but I seem to remember there was mention of him having a drive in an earlier meeting . Not in his own car though .

was thinking same thing and as for the contact its gonna happen with those big wide cars on the track. i know a few drivers who are sick of backing down n maybe theyve decided to stand their ground and if push comes to shove then so be it
