Drizzling and windy as hell. Don't think enough water has fallen to cancel it yet trackwise but will be a miserable night for spectators if it is held in these conditions

Oh dear, poor Welly. If it wasn't for bad luck they wouldn't have any at all. Hopefully Sammy Swindell can change his flights and stay, but I know he was due to return to Auckland tomorrow and back to the US of A Monday......

Sammy Swindell is going to change his tickets and will fly back to Auckland early Monday morning with "Uncle Ron" Leaves to the USA around the middle of the day on Monday.

That's good news Bruce - I fixed my original muck up, of course he was never originally flying back today, but tomorrow. Don't even know what day of the week it is at the moment, just the date

"Steel and Thunder" Stockcar Series. Second round now tomorrow night at 7pm
Results from the first round at Palmerston North last night.
3NZ Peter Rees 69 581P Jordan Dare 64 67P Alex Wilson 63 11W Darren Gray 62 34P Rob Mason 60 49P Bevan Shannon 59 1NZ Richard Gaskin 58 11P Bevan Humphrey 58 53P Todd O'Donnell 58 75P Gavin Taniwha 57 5P Brett Hyslop 57 81P Eddie Arnold 55 45P Tyler Evans 52 6V Dion Mooney 51
Results dominated by Palmy cars but as you can see the points are close. With 35 points per round it can change very quickly.
With 36 cars starting the night and only 10 cars finishing all three heats there was plenty of action. Points are from their best two rounds at each track.
