hi all
could a modified be built in a small chassis frame, i saw some pic from napier of kiwi lites on here i was just wondering if it could work, i know we have modified sprints and mini sprints, but that is for springs baypark ruapuna.
Also they have body like the v8mods like they have in aussie that would be cool to have a wing on a mod lite. have a small honda, yamaha engine, i know it will cost a bit but it would be intesting to see.

Baypark do not run any such class, and never has, only Saloons, Super Saloons, Stockcars, Sprintcars and Ministocks.
The cars do look cool, but unless we can attract more competitors the last thing we need is any more classes. All that does is spread the talent even more.

I've bandied this idea around a few times at Modifiedsprint club meetings without anyone really taking any notice....
The easiest way would be for the current modifiedsprint class to sling a mini-stock body over the current configuration.... making the class's name more appropriate "Modified" and "Sprint" the class could then run as two seperate entities, changing from modifieds to sprints (by simply changing the body style) on any given night or combine into one mixed class for good where both styles race together.
This will more than likely never happen....but it could be a good booster for the regional class if it was looked into....
