In a magnificent nights racing (& entertainment) a bumper crowd saw NZ smash Australia 119-73 in the sidecar test tonight at the Totalspan Balls of Steel meeting at Wanganui. I'll post a report on www.oceanviewspeedway.co.nz soon but for those present it was a great evening with the sidecars, solos, kiwilites & a charity stockcar race supported by Mary Perkins FMX riders and an Air Force helicopter display. The new venue showed what it will look like at the NZ Stocks with marquees surrounding the banks & numerous food outlets. A great night.

Hard to tell as there were a lot in the marquees etc. David Ogilvie estimated 5,000 in the Wanganui Chronicle this morning but I would've gone for more 3,000 to 4,000. We tried to to do a rough guesstimate from up in the lapscorers box but 35% for UE maths has to be taken in to account :-)
