May I ask how solo riders feel coming from overseas ( or from out of town )for an international meeting only to be asked to race on the bullring at waikaraka. Was i wrong to feel embarrased for the riders that they had to race on it? The commentators were saying things like " true international rider" things like that, I was thinking hey, international riders dont ride on shyte tracks like this , do they?? you know what I mean? take a look at what 2Ks did with the track down there, awesome job I thought, the racing looked like real racing not a group of learner riders as they looked at WP. Do you reckon WP should lay the track out like 2ks? I would love to see more combined car and bike meetings , but the bullring ?? whats the general feeling out in solo land? cheers, mike

Some but not many tracks in England are not much bigger than the Bullring tracks that are now starting to appear in NZ, as for America ALL of theirs are that size and even smaller. Meeanee has one and it has been the saviour of the class here due to Darrin Wilson making it happen. No matter what size track the standard of NZ rider varies hugely and some will look good, some not. For the last 30 years Solo's have been declining due only to the fact that tracks went to tacky clay surfaces and SNZ DOES NOT DO WHAT IT IS ELECTED TO DO AND THAT IS TO PROMOTE AND FOSTER ALL FORMS OF SPEEDWAY. Yes Bullrings are not ideal but the alternative is worse.....NO SOLO BIKES AT ALL...God bless those internationals who do come here for sun, fun and to keep race fit for their new season...........
