thought you guys should see this and maybe give a response to the xxxxxxx article i have copied it out of peter whites speedway world word for word. dated march 2010 page 4 Kiwis Mike Zachan/Simon Bethune beat Darrin Treloar/ Juastin Plaisted in the New Zealand sidecar championship at Invercargill on Feb 13th. Treloar who finished second, lost the crown he won last season. But it wasnt riding skill that got the Kiwi across the line first- it was the whim of officialdom. Treloar dominated every race by an impressive margin and the New Zealand looked destined to be headed back across the Tasman. However when the referee deemed Treloar had impeded another bike off the start during the fourth of his five heats, Treloar was excluded from the race result. Despite winning his final heat, Teloar finished a frustrating one point behind Zachan in the overall standings and was left fuming about what he viewed as archaic rules. Passenger Paisted lamented the $5500. spent on flights and transport of the bike. Gisborne,s Sefton Trutts/Calvin Foggarty placed third with defending champions Les Plummer/ Kervin Demanser fourth i found this article not very fair and Zachans/Bethunes win should have been put in a better light they won fair and square. this magazine website is www.peterwhitesspeedwayworld.com if anyone wants to reply to his article. I am an aussie and i am disgusted at the lack of respect it showed to those who competed and won.

congratulations to you and Humphreys on your win. There are quite a few of us who realize you won well. all the best for the season ahead. the clip would be great and it would be good if you could put it on the Australian speedway forum. because seeing is believing for some. it would be good to get some positive press for you guys. my cousin has just had a year of negative press with the occasional good piece thrown in on his riding, it gets a bit frustrating when you think we are all trying to build up our sport and to enjoy it.
