pullmall is rite the old 97b is the car that was 41b in the hands of Graham Malton ,It was designed and built in hastings raced in hawkesbay in the late 80s era and raced untill 93,94 season, later raced in 02,04 seasons as 97b then went up to taupo racin at the track kihikihi track for three seasons and i know it was sold to Bart Prouse and he repainted it to the famous red and black of Dave evens Clifford 6.
She was written-off in hawkes bay and the whole front was cut off and rebuilt by the owner and his wife. the car was painted in sky blue chassie and black body, raced at the hb kihi and rotorua tracks.
I personal heard that the real one is in christchurch .
but i would like to get hold of MR Wood and getting a tape measure over the chassie.
I do have fotos of the ex 41b,97b,7k also known as 6p ;D

threre was 2 of these cars biult for robin wildbore i know one is in otaki rebiult a few sessions ago after ron tye raced it as 29p it is now 95w silver and blue only raced a cuople of times since rebuilt now has indepenet front end but still has the old d series ford in it and the pop body

The plan is to put it back to as close to original as poss & run it in the "Golden Oldies" when they are down this way.
The steel Ford Pop body gets cut down next week, I have a Ford V8 front axle, MK3 disc's & calipers, Clifford inlet manifold, Autolite carb, Falcon gearbox etc etc.
"I Need", Mk4 Zephyr steering box, a "GOOD" set of forged pistons & rods and most importantly, a whole heap of time!
But it will happen.

unfortunately the motor and gearbox not finished yet.
