Side rail out riggers havent left much body to put numbers on whats the rule on number placement? does the number have to go there? could it go just above the rear wheel more to the back? that black and grey car is awesome!

R12-1-14 Racing Numbers: Refer also Section R7. (a) Numbers to be on front door panels on both sides of vehicle, and on both sides of fin or aerofoil, and on rear of vehicle - either black figures with a white background or white figures with a black background.
So where, exactly, are the front door panels on a fiberglass body? Anywhere on the side should be OK. The intent of the rules are to make sure that the numbers are clearly visible on each side of the car. If they are it would take a real prat of an official to object.

that black and white number thing is old school.
maybe that needs changing? coloured numbers could stand out way more if done properly.

Have to wait 2 years for the next remit meeting, dammit. Think you'll find that you won't. Pretty sure the coloured numbers are now go! PTracegear are selling coloured numbers sets now, and I'm pretty sure Flash was jumping for joy also. ;D

Hey there MR666, that car sure is an odd looking one ( sorry guys) alright ! Be interesting in seeing how it handles. You got your camera ready for the first off greensheeting in a couple off weeks.

Just checked the rules, numbers for stockcars and superstocks are still black on white or white on black, exept 1,2,3 NZ red on white or white on red. Coloured numbers are for the open wheelers.

Just so everyone knows, I have contacted the CEO of Speedway New Zealand and he has confirmed to me that multi coloured numbers have been approved for ALL classes. These must be contrasting colours and regulation sizing still apply. When they say multi coloured, they must be two flat colours, no gradients or patterns to be printed onto the numbers or outlines.

None of the remit meetings had any mention of changing the rules on coloured numbers, and I was under the impression that the rules can only be changed at the rules meeting at the SNZ AGM. If this is not the case why bother having remit meetings, or even a rule book? Section R12-1-14 hasn't changed, and the latest update on the rules was 12\8\07. This is what the scruteneers will be looking at when deciding on this matter.

This came up at the remit meeting at Stratford and we had the same pieces of paper sent to us from SNZ as any other track.
