Congratulations Jack Miers on driving to 2nd place overall in the NZ Superstock Champs non-qualifyiers 3rd tier group in only his first handful of meetings driving a Superstock. Jack is a very talented driver who is rapidly developing his Superstock skills, and is one who deserves to be racing at the national level. Well done mate. Jack was reluctatant to let me take his photo last night, so here's one of him I took just 2 years ago at the NZ Teams Champs at Waikaraka Park. (Jacks the one on the right, master Frazer on the left, I think)
However, he did let me take a photo of the reliable Toyota powered 88p last night. The car had tons of pace last night and handled extremely well. Jack tells me that it's an easy car to drive. The reason the car is for sale is because Jack finished school this month and needs capital to develop his own business interests. This does not mean the end of Jacks Superstock racing by any means. I've got a couple more pics from the meeting which I'll post later, but yeah, a great achievement Jack - stand tall, be proud. ;D PS: I should mention that Jacks finishing position was helped by Kevin Roberts 53p taking out the other tank completely, which was the points leader, in the final heat. Kevin then recovered and drove into 3rd place overall. Good one Kev

Not that I am trying to hijack the thread but with young Jack and our Dale (aged 17) coming through and standing out in the non-qualifiers championship, superstock racing is in great hands. Mind you, Junior Dale has got a couple of wise old heads on his side ... :-)

Absolutely well done Junior Dale, the future for Superstock racing - and I suppose Superstock Teams racing, certainly appears to be very bright indeed.

Was something not right in heats 2 and 3 with Junior Dale's car in the second tier? He seemed off the pace compared to his win in Heat 1

Well done mate. actualy jack wasnt the 2nd overall place getter in the non qualifiers but was in the "3rd" tier group... 2nd tier were the next top 26 after finalists & 3rd tier was the lowest non qualifier points scorers. mind you did look ok out there on rotorua oval... only once he finally managed to get around female driver of 68r (2nd race i think) haha

im sure jacks car is a toyota but could be wrong, went really well in the tank on monday night Thanks Roto-ultraholic you are very much totally 100% correct. The cheapest competitive Superstock for sale anywhere does indeed run a Toyota, not a Nissan ,as I previously stated. Thanks for pointing out my typo - I must've been all confused up after looking at Kevin Free's car. Original post amended now.
