They wont do anything, Are they sure they know how to hit? They certainly dont when they race as modifieds at the Glen All you have done is bag them, lets see you do a better job. Bugger off if you have nothing positive to say, go crawl back under your rock you pest!!!

They certainly dont when they race as modifieds at the Glen Well as an ex North Islander, only been in ChCh for 3 years i would say that aside from Palmy and maybe Rotorua, the Christchurch cars hit each other twice as much as at other tracks club meets, club champs etc. While most of the guys arent in the upper echelon of speed, they probably will be able to give and receive the contact as well as anyone. ;D

I have raced at the Glen so I do know what its like. Have you ever raced Eaglesfan11?? I doubt it.
Im being realistic, alot of practise is needed to be at the top in teams racing and it just does not happen and when a little tap is done, cars retire to the infield. bring back the biff.
If the Eagles do ok,thats great, but I doubt they will.

I put it down to great tactics, race plan and also operating like a team and reading whats going on & being able to switch roles during the race. Sure practice helps but the Lions have prob had the least and still do the job.

Well obviuosly it has to be the different racing there is up in the north island.. Nelson have a better chance as they have team nights and get the practise, they work as a team, and that is why they have won...
If the Eagles do well then thats great.

You need to take your chances when they pop up and if you miss your window it normally means game over. The Eagles know how to hit and race, they just need to take there chances and hope luck is on there side, just like every other team. You are the only one on this thread writing them off!!! Go the Eagles.

Looks to me the Glen Eagles are a team of guys with a passion to do some good. Not sure they will win the deal but I'm picking their good performance will be impressed on the opposition.

What I don't understand is if Nick Selfe has been going alright (and I think he has) why would you bring in a ring like Trevor Mason? As much as I know he is a good teams racer wouldn't a club pick it's own drivers 1st? It's got me beat How can you build a good team and team spirit by bringing in oustsiders? Good luck to the Eagles anyway this weekend. They are overdue for a good result.

Well, ive never had a top car, but ive seen many other top guys refuse to teams race because the rest of the team doesnt meet their expectations. Whether that be machinery, experience or just plain talent, it varies and maybe the addition of Mason made others more interested. But as others have said Christchurch doesnt practice, Christchurch couldnt put a team together earlier, so whatever they have now is great, no matter what went on behind the scenes.. and i have met Trevor Mason a few times and can guarantee that the guy wont dampen any team spirit! Cmon the Eagles!!

Cmon the Eagles!! I'm with catsinacan1, i would rather see all CHCH cars in the team and i hear Nick has been going good, but he might not have the funds to risk the car. At the end of the day we have a team up there and its a descent one, will Trevor be the reserve?, i guess we have to wait and see. One ring in is better than no team, some teams have a couple. GO HARD BOYS AND BRING IT HOME ;D

Can't knock Mr Mason for making himself avalible thou Nick has run with the Eagles before just not at palmy though, correct me if i'm wrong . Same team next year would be nice, can't see it though . Two of the cars are leased, the owners might want to drive them next season, worry about that next year. Mr Mason can't stay away, he came to a team that will win him a title ;D
